1. Purpose

The Code of Conduct defines the expected behavior of all students, parents, staff, and participants within Paragon Christian Academy. It ensures a safe, respectful, Christ-centered, and productive virtual learning environment.

2. Christian Behavior Standard

All members of the academy are expected to reflect Christ-like character in their actions, communication, and decisions, both inside and outside the virtual classroom (Matthew 5:16).

3. Student Conduct Expectations

Students must:

  • Show respect to teachers, staff, and classmates at all times

  • Participate actively and respectfully in virtual classes

  • Complete assignments honestly and on time

  • Use appropriate language in all digital communication

  • Avoid disruptive behavior during live sessions

  • Respect differences in opinions, backgrounds, and abilities

  • Use technology only for educational purposes during school time

4. Digital Citizenship

Because Paragon Christian Academy operates virtually, students must:

  • Keep cameras and microphones used appropriately when required

  • Not share login credentials with anyone

  • Not record, distribute, or post class content without permission

  • Avoid cyberbullying, gossip, or inappropriate online behavior

  • Use school platforms responsibly and securely

5. Academic Integrity

Students are expected to:

  • Complete their own work

  • Avoid plagiarism, cheating, or misuse of AI/tools

  • Cite sources when required

  • Respect academic honesty policies at all times

Violations of academic integrity may result in academic penalties.

6. Parent/Guardian Conduct

Parents and guardians must:

  • Support the school’s Christian mission and policies

  • Encourage student discipline and accountability at home

  • Communicate respectfully with staff and administration

  • Avoid disruptive behavior in communication channels

Ensure students are prepared and present for classes

7. Staff Conduct

All staff members are expected to:

  • Model Christ-like behavior and professionalism

  • Maintain respectful and appropriate communication

  • Protect student privacy and confidentiality

  • Provide fair, consistent, and unbiased instruction

Maintain appropriate boundaries with students and families

8. Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Bullying, harassment, or intimidation

  • Disrespect toward staff or students

  • Cheating or academic dishonesty

  • Use of offensive, vulgar, or inappropriate language

  • Unauthorized recording or distribution of classes

  • Any form of discrimination

9. Disciplinary Actions

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Parent conference

  • Temporary removal from class sessions

  • Academic penalties

  • Suspension or dismissal from the academy (depending on severity)

10. Commitment Statement

By enrolling in Paragon Christian Academy, students and families agree to follow this Code of Conduct and uphold a standard of respect, integrity, and Christ-centered behavior.
